PrestaShop is an enormously popular site for tshirts. The option capabilities native to the product make it ideal for your store.

Im having trouble deciding what platform to use for a Ecommerce Website we have to build for a Tshirt Printing and Embroidery site.

We develop most on Magento but it seems the features I require are not going to be easily developed into it, maybe Oscommerce might be the choice for this one.

For us, it was fixing pipes so the condensation wouldn't leave puddles under the house. In addition, making sure enough ventilation from the side vents going into the crawl space so fresh air can blow through and dry things up.

Good luck with that.

Hi Michael!

I came across your pier and beam blog while googling to get info on my pier and beam... I'm curios, what did you do to get rid of the humidity, mud, etc? I am hitting dead ends with every search I do and can't find someone to help me with my problem. Tons of humidity and mud. If you've got any insight it will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
David

After a week of playing with Joomla and associated shopping plugins, wordpress and associated shopping plugins, I have come to the conclusion that there is no easy answers. I have tried yak, ecommerce, os commerce for WP, e shopp etc etc and it's just been a pain in the butt. After reading the comments here I am going to try Prestashop, I have been so stuck on Wordpress for the ease of SEO, but nothing truly works well for a larger store. May stick with the WP front end and sub Presta underneath.

How about using a plugin in WordPress that allows you to use Magento's session within WP? Check this out if it suits you.

I have read this whole thread to try and decide how I will built my own website. I am a small shop owner and I have so far used a payed service called Citymax to run my website but I now need to find a multilingual solution to conform to our language laws.

Also I am a member of a 5000+ community of small shop owners and many of our members are stiffled by the whole process of building a web boutique. Clients now expect us to have a web store. However I need to have a solution for "dummies" as I have no clue about any of the programming stuff; Nothing really.

I am willing to pay to get a program but I have noticed that most of the services offered are missing features or they are overpriced by a mile. For example Shop Factory costs $1200 to buy the program or about 99$ per month to rent BUT it look dowdy and old fashionned, the templates are ugly and I would need to know stuff to fix that.

Wordpress seems to be a great blogggin program that you can also use to sell stuff, but I don't want a blog, keeping an e-store is enough work already lol

Prestashop seems to have only paid for templates. I would not mind paying for an upgrade, but I woul really like to be able to set up the program and make it work and then pay to add cool shiny stuff, cause I I buy modules and templates for it and can't make it work ....well

At this time we are a good dozen or so to be shopping and reporting back on our findings, we probably will all use the same system so we can support each other (the blind leading the blind hehehe) I mean comfort each other maybe HA!

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Free or payed for reasonably, hosted or not. But one where we don't have to depend on strangers to run our website....

I agree, WP E-Commerce is a disgrace, so bloated and buggy and the support is dreadful , sorry make that non-existent. I wasted a lot of time and money on this piece of crap. I'm a web developer who has almost 4 years experience making plugins for wordpress and I couldn't get my head around their shit code at all.

It's really hard to decide which one is better. Opinions differ. I guess when choosing a shopping every store owner takes into consideration the needs of his store. osCommerce has been around for quite a while and has a huge community, PrestaShop and Magento are relatively new but are developing quite fast and offer more extended functionality.

I guess best way to find out is to try and see. Plus now there are ways to do it automatically in a blink of an eye. Such as shopping-cart-migration.com and if you feel like your shopping cart doesn't meet your needs.
